Institutionalization of intellectual property in the agricultural sector of Ukraine's economy The role of intellectual products in the innovative development of the agricultural economy is determine. Intellectual property from the standpoint of analysis of the peculiarities of its formation as a social legal institution in the agricultural sector. An institutional analysis of the situation in Ukraine of the intellectual property system taking into account the effectiveness of its impact on the innovative development of the agricultural sector. Creation and treatment of these intellectual products require socio-legal consolidation of specific relations in the field of intellectual activity and production of new knowledge and thus contribute to the institutionalization of intellectual property in the agricultural economy. Effective functioning, innovative development and increasing the global competitiveness of the agricultural sector are impossible without overcoming the contradictions that have developed in its institutional system. The priority of modern government policy should be the formation of its own institutions in the agricultural sector among which one of the paramount places is given to the institute of intellectual property. In agricultural economics social institution is the intellectual property in terms of form - a system of organizational structures and resources that promote the implementation of intellectual activity and protection of intellectual work; in terms of content - a set of socially recognized patterns of behavior, in accordance with social norms provide protection and recognition of intellectual product and labor. The main normative-legal documents, state bodies and public organizations are determined, which affect the subjects of intellectual property rights which are functionally related to the industry. Groups of problems of institutionalization of intellectual property in the agrarian sphere are defined. The necessity of development of strategy of modernization of institute of intellectual property is substantiated, aimed at programming institutional change, determine which updates the domestic agricultural sector of Ukraine. Priorities and indicators of the process of institutional modernization are noted.
