UPSTREAM ADVANCED C1: reading tasks

Abstract

The reference book includes lexical tasks to “Upstream Advanced C1” by Virginia Evans, Jenny Dooley, Lynda Edwards. When compiling the exercises, the students’ interests are taken into account in order to understand the original language present in the texts and to realize this understanding in speech activity. All the exercises in the reference book contain a variety of fiction / scientific words and phrases to be learned. The reference book is useful for every teacher as a resource when teaching elective courses in English and for students studying English at foreign language faculties of higher education establishments, language schools, as well as for advanced self-studying of authentic English language.
